The committee also reviewed the proposed monument sign for the Children's clinic building, which it determined was consistent with the design guidelines, in that other freestanding signs on the property frontage were considered as directional signs. The DRC also discussed the relevant design criteria related to building orientation to the abutting residential neighborhood, building massing, building materials, location of windows and doors, screening of loading and dumpster areas, architectural treatment of the building entrance, screening of rooftop mechanical equipment, parking lot landscaping, and building height. The DRC expressed its satisfaction to City staff that the project design complies with the adopted design guidelines of Ordinance No. 3090-08.
