EARTHWORK OBSERVATION REPORT
Report Number: M7231404.0013
Service Date: 09/18/23
Report Date: 10/17/23
Client
Brixton Everett LLC
Attn: Kyle Godat
120 S Sierra Ave
Solana Beach. It was suggested to Bayley
to wait until all subcontractor machinery has been demobilized from the tenant space before compacting the
exposed subgrade.
Bayley informed Terracon that a 2" crushed rock layer will be placed between the exposed subgrade and the
floor slab. We recommend performing the moisture conditioning and recompaction just before placing the
crushed rock.
Due to the potential for granular soils to lose moisture and loosen through regular construction activities, we
recommend Terracon be dispatched to observe the subgrade prior to casting concrete to confirm the subgrade
remains in a firm, non -yielding condition at the time of concrete pouring.
A Terracon representative will return to the site once dispatched by Bayley to observe the earthwork
recommendations conveyed herein.
Services: Special Inspections / Materials Testing
Terracon Rep.: Zachary Koehn
Reported To: Bayley Construction
Contractor: Bayley Construction
Report Distribution:
(1) Brixton Everett LLC, Kyle Godat (1) Bayley Construction, Tony Betz
(1) Mayes Testing Engineers, Inc, (1) Mayes Testing Engineers, Inc,
Donna Pollard Mike Mattox
Reviewed By:
Barry Tuttle
Project Field Manager
The tests were performed in general accordance with applicable ASTM, AASHTO, or DOT test methods.
