As the warehouse at 9800 B
Evergreen Way has had constant tenants since 1977 the warehouse suited Mac's
Auto operations. It was surprising the new business was subject to new zoning
and the overlay created to support the Swift Bus System of the highway.
The steel building was purchased by Kegel Engineers, an Engineering and
Surveying Company, to store their survey trucks and equipment. Crews did
maintenance and light repair for the fleet. Such a land use was acceptable before
the rezone to E-1 and the Evergreen Way MUO (mixed use overlay).
As a first step to starting their small business Mac's Auto has been granted the
Non-Conforming Use Certification NCU18-008, a Planning Director Decision. The
non-Conforming Use was for the Warehouse (rear building) of 9800 Evergreen
Way- also referred to in the permit history as Building 2.
However, the warehouse use is proposed to change to auto repair— a necessary
designation for the tenant's business operation. This necessitates our application
for the City of Everett to grant a Nonconforming Use Change. We have provided
convincing documentation to show credence for Mac's Auto request.
Within this submittal we are providing the five (5) requested items:
1) Fee $799
2) Land Use Application
3) Site Plan & Survey (same as submitted for NCU 18-008)
4) Narrative Statement
