No.: 23c-4540
Plan Check No: B2309-012
To: Everett Building Department
Tony Lee — Building Official
3200 Cedar Street
Everett, WA 98201
Buildinq Permit Review Responses
Dear Tony Lee,
Please see below for the original permit review comments and our responses.
General
1. The building is being reviewed under the International Residential Code vs. the Building code as submitted.
Noted. The Codes section on A1.1 has been updated.
2. The dwelling unit should be equipped with a whole -house ventilation system designed and installed as
specified in Section M1505. Section R303.4
A note has been added to the drawings to reflect this requirement. Since the mechanical system is a
deferred submittal the actual design of the whole -house ventilation system will be left up the mechanical
contractor. 2812 architecture will review their submittal prior to submission.
3. The dwelling unit should be shown to comply as a new structure vs. an alteration as it is a change of use from
a business to residential occupancy. Residential Energy Code Section R505
The Dwelling Unit complies with the energy code per Section R505. Continuous Rigid Insulation will be
added to the walls, additional insulation will be blown into the attic, and the U value of the fenestration
will meet the envelope requirements. Code required energy credits are listed on A2.1.
Sincerely,
Todd Bullock
Associate Architect
2812 architecture
2812 Colby Avenue Everett WA 98201
P (425)252-2153 www.2812architecture.com
