<br />the pipe, restrained joints (where shown on the Plans or as required by the Standard
<br />Specifications and Special Provisions), and all fittings, including tees, crosses, reducers,
<br />couplings, material transitions and sleeves required for complete installation along the run of
<br />each pipe size, as shown on the Plans and specified herein, and additionally, shall include,
<br />but not be limited to, the following:
<br />(c) Removal of structures or obstructions not specifically covered under other Bid
<br />Items. This shall include, but not be limited to, removal and disposal of the
<br />existing asphalt or concrete pavement, sidewalk, curb, thrust blocks,
<br />miscellaneous landscaping, and sod as indicated on the Plans.
<br />(d) All required potholing to verify locations of water service crossings and existing
<br />utilities. The costs for pot-holing and excavation required to determine exact
<br />depths and locations of other utilities shall be included with this Work with no
<br />direct compensation made.
<br />(e) Utility or light pole holding in conformance with the requirements of the applicable
<br />utility including, if necessary, arranging for the utility to hold poles and paying the
<br />associated fees.
<br />(f) Where trench excavation or HDD is proposed, dewatering, installation of pipe,
<br />furnishing, placing, and compacting sand backfill for pipe bedding, furnishing,
<br />placing and compacting suitable native material for trench backfill and placing
<br />and compacting imported backfill material. No extra payment shall be made for
<br />removing, loading, hauling, and disposing of displaced and unsuitable material
<br />or handling and disposal of drilling fluids and cuttings
<br />(g) At least 7 days prior to mobilizing equipment Contractor shall submit a detailed
<br />installation plan to the Engineer. The plan shall include a detailed plan and profile
<br />of the bores and be plotted at a scale no smaller than 1 inch equals 20 feet
<br />horizontal and vertical
<br />(h) Maintenance, restoration and/or relocation, if required, of existing culverts, storm
<br />drainage pipe, other utilities and structures affected by construction that are to
<br />remain.
<br />(i) Temporary and permanent thrust blocking and dead man blocks, and temporary
<br />and permanent restraint systems.
<br />(j) Ethafoam pads or sand backfill between sewer and other pipes.
<br />(k) Maintenance of existing sewer and provisions for interim service.
<br />(l) Extra depth, including excavation, backfill and compaction required to clear
<br />known buried utilities or other known obstacles.
<br />(m) Abandonment of existing sewers as shown on the Plans, including cutting,
<br />draining water and properly disposing, and plugging pipe at each end with a
<br />minimum of 2-feet of Commercial concrete or CDF. Include the concrete or CDF
<br />work with this work with no direct compensation being made. Abandon existing
<br />mains in place where possible. Include cost of removal, hauling, and disposal of
<br />existing main with these Bid items when abandoning in place is not possible.
<br />Include closing existing valves, and plugging where noted, to be abandoned and
<br />removing the lids and valve boxes.

<br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Linear Foot (LF)
<br />Per linear foot pipe measurement shall be based on the slope and radius distance from point
<br />to point. The point of beginning or ending of measurement in any particular run of pipe shall
