April 23, 2025 <br />2 <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli thanked the public commenter and stated that if any residents are <br />interested in running for public office at the local level, five seats are available. <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli announced that she will not be running for another term and is retiring <br />from the Everett City Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy thanked the public commenter and thanked Council Member Vogeli for <br />her service on the Everett City Council. She attended the Snohomish County 911 meeting, and <br />the next meeting in May will be held in the new facility. <br /> <br />President Schwab thanks Council Member Vogeli for her service on the Everett City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson provided an update from previous council public <br />comments regarding the construction impacts occurring at Compass Health and stated <br />Administration and staff would follow up with the public commenter today, and the DADU <br />construction that is occurring on Beech Street. She thanked Council Member Vogeli for her <br />service on the Everett City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall stated that after a lot of hard work from City staff, particularly Lead <br />Prosecutor Flora Diaz, Police Legal Advisor Lacey Offutt, and Prosecutor Hil Kaman, the City was <br />able to receive federal grant funding for a competency diversion program, which the City Council <br />had previously approved. He also explained that this specific competency diversion program, <br />which is outlined in RCW 10.77, is not yet available in Snohomish County because the legislature <br />hasn’t funded it. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8161 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br />$1,710,020.62 for the period ending April 5, 2025 through April 11, 2025. <br />
