EVERETT <br />WASHINGTON <br />CITY OF EVERETT <br />Public Works <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Devin Saylor, AIA <br />FROM: Tony Lee, Building Official <br />DATE: June 27, 2023 <br />RE: Bethany of the Northwest <br />Devin, this is to confirm that Everett concludes with your research (copied below for expediency) <br />regarding the occupancy classification for Bethany of the Northwest, 916 Pacific Avenue. <br />Searching the permit records, I believe the occupancy of the structure has been consistent since <br />construction back in the 1970's. Note that the actual occupancy classification and type of construction <br />has been revised from the older Uniform Building Code nomenclature to the current International <br />Codes, however the use (and therefore occupancy) has remained consistent. <br />• The historical 1-2, Condition 1 use has not changed and therefore does not represent a change of <br />occupancy for continued use. <br />If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (425) 257-8812. <br />Thank you, <br />Tony <br />
