Examples <br />include trees such as Douglas fir, western hemlock, western red cedar, alder, big -leaf maple, and vine <br />maple; shrubs such as willow, elderberry, salmonberry and salal; and herbaceous plants such as sword fern and <br />fireweed. <br />• New Impervious Surface: A surface thatis changed from pervious surface to impervious (e.g., upgradingfrom dirtto gravel, <br />asphalt orconcrete), or upgraded from gravel to asphalt or concrete, or upgraded from "chipseal"to asphaltor concrete. <br />• Pervious Surface: A surface material that allows storm water to infiltro te into the ground. Examples include lawn, <br />landscape, pasture, native vegetation areas, and permeable pavements. <br />• Proposed: The portion you will be installing with your project. This could include new which is something that was <br />never there before or replaced to upgrade what was there before. <br />• Replaced Hard Surface: Forstructures, the removal and replacement of hard surfaces down to the foundation.
