1 . ORDINANCE NO . 1829 An ordinance fixing the salaries to be paid to employees in certain departments of the city of Everett , amending Orainance No .1818, and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : Section 1 : That from and after Lay 1L;t ,1918, the salaries of the following named officers and employees of the city of Everett shall be as in this ordinance provided. Section 2 : That section 2 of Orainance No . 1818 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Section 2 : Stenographer to the Commissioners, eighty-five dollars per month; city hall janitor eighty-five dollars per month" . Section 3 : That section 3 of Ordinance No . 1818 be and the same is hereby amenaed to read as follows : "Section 3 : City Attorney, one hundred seventy-five dollars per month. In addition to the above salary, the City Attorney shall be allowed the sum of twenty aollars per month for pffice rent , and eighty- five dollars per month for stenographer hire" . Section 4 : That section 4 of Ordinance No. 1818 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Section 4 : City Clerk, one hundred fifty dollars per month; deputy city clerk,one hundred ten dollars per month; stenographer , eighty- five dollars per month" . Section 5: That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 181.8 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Section 5 :City Treasurer, one hundred fifty dollars per month daptity City Treasurer, one hundred ten dollars per month ; stenographer eighty-five dollars per month." Section 6 : That section 9 of--Ordinance No, 1818 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Sections" : City Engineer, two hundred dollars per month ; assistant city engineer, one hundred thirty five dollars per month, and during any period when there is a vacancy in the office of City Engineer
