The assistant city engineer shall receive while acting city engineer, one hundred fifty dollars per month; draftsmen and computers one hundred per month each for the the first year, one hundred five dollars per month each for the second year, one hundred ten dollars per month each thereafter; instrument men one hundred dollars per month each for the first year, one hundred five dollars per month each for the second year, one hunarea ten dollars per month each thereafter; rodmen eighty-five dollars per month each for the first and second years and ninety dollars per month each thereafter; chainnen, eighty dollars per month each for the first and second years and eighty-five dollars per month each, there- after; axemen seventy-five dollars per month each for the first and second years, and eighty dollars per month each thereafter ; stenographer, seventy dollars per month for the first year, eighty dollars per month for the second year, and eighty-five follars per month thereafter ; in- spectors seventy-five dollars per month each for the first year,eighty- five dollars per month each for the second year, and ninety five dollars per month each thereafter . For temporary assistants to said officer , draftsmen, and computers, instrument men , rodmen,chainmen,axemen and in- spectors shall be paid such salaries as the City uouncil by resolution .,ay fix for the ppecial work rendering their employment necessary" . Section 7 : That section 10 of Ordinance No. 1818 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Section 10 : Foreman of streets, one hundred twenty dollars per month; teamsters and truck drivers , three dollars and seventyfive cents per day; barn boss, one hundred dollars per month; laborers, three dollars and twenty-five cents per day; provided, ho-:�ever that on emer- gency work and on Local Improvement work laborers shall be paid such rate as the Council by resolution may provide" .
