<br />11 11 <br />ARTICLE 8 - UNIFORMS and SAFETY SHOES <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The City of Everett shall furnish distinctive clothing (uniform) of the City's choice and design to all <br />employees covered by this contract. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />Initial uniform issue to consist of a minimum of one (1) winter jacket, one (1) sport jacket or light <br />jacket, five (5) trousers, five (5) shirts, two (2) ties, if needed, and one (1) pair of waterproof <br />galoshes. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />Necessary replacement of worn articles shall be authorized at the discretion of the Department <br />Head with cost being borne by the City. <br /> <br />Section 4: <br /> <br />Dry cleaning costs for Inspector uniforms (jacket and trousers) shall be paid by the City and <br />authorized by the Department Head. The procedure for payment of dry cleaning costs is to be <br />worked out by the employees and the Department Head. <br /> <br />Section 5: <br /> <br />Safety boots or shoes will be reimbursed for employee positions on the negotiated approved list <br />up to an annual maximum amount of $225.00. Safety boots and shoes must be worn in <br />accordance with department policy and procedures. Any changes to the approved list shall be <br />addressed in labor management. <br /> <br /> <br />
