2025 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE OVERLAY SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />PW# 3830 <br /> SP-28 March 26, 2025 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Roads or ramps that are designated as part of a detour shall not be closed or 2 <br />restricted during the implementation of that detour, unless specifically shown in the 3 <br />Plans. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Controlled Access 6 <br />No special access or egress shall be allowed by the Contractor other than normal 7 <br />legal movements or as shown in the Plans. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Contractor’s vehicles of 10,000 GVW or greater shall not exit or enter a lane open to 10 <br />public traffic except as follows: 11 <br /> 12 <br />Egress and ingress shall only occur during the hours of allowable lane closures, 13 <br />and: 14 <br /> 15 <br />1. For exiting an open lane of traffic, by decelerating in a lane that is 16 <br />closed during the allowable hours for lane closures. 17 <br /> 18 <br />2. For entering an open lane of traffic, by accelerating in a closed lane 19 <br />during the allowable hours for lane closures. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Traffic control vehicles are excluded from the gross vehicle weight requirement. If 22 <br />placing construction signs will restrict traveled lanes, then the work will be permitted 23 <br />during the hours of allowable lane closures. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Advance Notification 26 <br />The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing of any traffic impacts related to 27 <br />lane closure, shoulder closure, sidewalk closure, or any combination for the week by 28 <br />12:00 p.m. (noon) Wednesday the week prior to the stated impacts. 29 <br /> 30 <br />The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing ten working days in advance of 31 <br />any traffic impacts related to full roadway closure, ramp closure, or both. 32 <br /> 33 <br />The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing of any changes to the stated traffic 34 <br />impacts a minimum of 48 hours prior to the traffic impacts. 35 <br /> 36 <br />1-07.23(1).RTF 37 <br />1-07.23(1) Construction Under Traffic 38 <br />(May 2, 2017 APWA GSP) 39 <br /> 40 <br />Revise the third sentence of the second paragraph to read: 41 <br /> 42 <br />Accessibility to existing or temporary pedestrian push buttons shall not be impaired; if 43 <br />approved by the Contracting Agency activating pedestrian recall timing or other 44 <br />accommodation may be allowed during construction. 45 <br /> 46 <br />1-07.24.RTF 47 <br />1-07.24 Rights of Way 48 <br />(July 23, 2015 APWA GSP) 49 <br /> 50 <br />Delete this section and replace it with the following: 51 <br /> 52
