2025 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE OVERLAY SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />PW# 3830 <br /> SP-38 March 26, 2025 <br /> <br />1. At the commissioning of a new traffic signal, or the recommissioning of an 1 <br />existing traffic signal which has been upgraded. 2 <br />2. Countermanding a traffic signal indication at a signalized intersection. 3 <br />Directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic when a traffic signal indication is turned off or 4 <br />is inoperative. *** To include any time a signalized intersection is dark, flashing red, 5 <br />or inoperative, such as during grinding or paving operations where the traffic signal 6 <br />must be put into flashing operation. Signalized intersections shall not be police 7 <br />controlled between the hours of 6:00am and 8:30am nor 12:00pm to 7:30pm, unless 8 <br />approved by the Engineer. At the time of returning signals to normal operation, a City 9 <br />of Everett traffic signal technician shall be present and on standby since most signals 10 <br />will not return to normal operation with a turn of the police panel switch and require 11 <br />a conflict monitor reset. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Coordination of traffic signal technician shall be coordinated with the following 14 <br />personnel: 15 <br /> 16 <br />City of Everett Public Works 17 <br />3200 Cedar Street 18 <br />Everett, WA 98201 19 <br />Contact: 20 <br />Steve Sawyer (425) 328-0643 21 <br />*** 22 <br /> 23 <br />3.
