2025 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE OVERLAY SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />PW# 3830 <br /> SP-82 March 26, 2025 <br /> <br />(******) 1 <br />"Vehicle Loop Detectors," per linear foot. 2 <br /> 3 <br />The unit contract price shall include saw cutting, cleaning and drying of pavement, 4 <br />installing loops and home runs, loop lead-in conduits, loop wire, sealant, splice kit and 5 <br />splicing between loop wire and lead-on cable, any work necessary to access a junction 6 <br />box and testing of the vehicle detectors as defined in Section 8-20.3(14)D. 7 <br /> 8 <br />No payment shall be made for any loops that are not spliced and fully operational, 9 <br />including any loop detector lead in cable required to make the loop operational. 10 <br /> 11 <br />“Loop Detector Lead-In Cable”, per linear foot. 12 <br /> 13 <br />The unit contract price shall be full pay for furnishing and installing each loop detector 14 <br />lead-In cable in existing conduits between the traffic signal control cabinet and loop splice 15 <br />point, including all and all other Work necessary terminate loop lead in cable at either end. 16 <br /> 17 <br />No payment shall be made for any detector lead-in cable that is not spliced and fully 18 <br />operational, including any testing required to make the loop operational. 19 <br /> 20 <br />“Conduit Pipe 2 In. Diam.”, per linear foot. 21 <br />The unit contract price shall be full pay as described in this Section for furnishing and 22 <br />installing each conduit stub-out where shown in the Plans, including furnishing all conduit, 23 <br />elbows, bends, and fittings for placing the pipe in accordance with the above provisions, 24 <br />including all excavation or jacking required, backfilling of any voids around stub out, pits, 25 <br />or trenches; bedding of the pipe, chipping of pavement, and all other Work necessary for 26 <br />the construction of the conduit stub-out. 27 <br /> 28 <br />“Video Detection System ____”, lump sum. 29 <br /> 30 <br />The lump sum Contract price for “Video Detection System ____”, shall be full pay for the 31 <br />construction of the complete video detection system as described above and as shown 32 <br />in the Plans, and herein specified, including complete installation of owner furnished 33 <br />materials to provide a fully functioning video detection system at the location described. 34 <br />The Contract price shall include restoring facilities destroyed or damaged during 35 <br />construction, salvaging existing materials, and for making all required tests.
