2025 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE OVERLAY SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />PW# 3830 <br /> SP-83 March 26, 2025 <br /> <br />All plastic marking shall be Type D. 1 <br /> 2 <br />8-22.3 Construction Requirements 3 <br /> 4 <br />Section 8-22.3 is supplemented with the following: 5 <br /> 6 <br />(******) 7 <br />Pavement markings shall be installed in accordance with Section 8-22.3 of the Standard 8 <br />Specifications with the following modifications: 9 <br /> 10 <br />1) All Stop Line shall be 24” wide Type D extruded plastic flat line. Spray Type D is 11 <br />not allowed. 12 <br />2) All Crosswalk Line shall be solid white lines, 24” wide, installed in accordance with 13 <br />City of Everett Standard Drawing No. 721 and shall be Type D extruded plastic 14 <br />flat line. Spray Type D is not allowed. 15 <br />3) All two-way left turn yellow lines and lane lines dividing two opposing directions of 16 <br />travel shall be Type D plastic flat line. 17 <br />4) Profiled plastic Type D material, where called for in the Appendices to the Special 18 <br />Provisions, shall be used for lane line dividing traffic in the same direction of travel 19 <br />including plastic skip white lane line, and solid white edge line, or other lines 20 <br />staked by the Engineer. 21 <br />5) All white parking lines shall be shall be Type D plastic flat line. 22 <br />6) All wide line and dotted extension line shall be Type D plastic flat line. 23 <br />7) Access parking space symbols, arrows, letters, bicycle symbols, and speed hump 24 <br />symbols shall be Type D extruded plastic flat line. Spray Type D is not allowed. 25 <br /> 26 <br />8-22.3(1) Preliminary Spotting 27 <br /> 28 <br />Section 8-22.3(1) is supplemented with the following: 29 <br /> 30 <br />(******) 31 <br />Contractor Surveying – Roadway Striping and Channelization 32 <br /> 33 <br />No survey control data or layout will be furnished by the Contracting Agency. 34 <br />The Contractor shall be solely responsible for detailed documentation (records) 35 <br />of all existing pavement markings and channelization in the field prior to grinding 36 <br />operations. This work includes but is not limited to: field notes, sketches, offset 37 <br />markings on curbs or staking if no curb exists. 38 <br /> 39 <br />The records and offset marking/staking shall be adequate to allow the pavement 40 <br />markings to be reproduced to a level of accuracy shown below: 41 <br /> 42 <br />Lane widths ±0.1 feet (normal to alignment) 43 <br />Longitudinal location of arrows and letters ±1.0 feet (parallel to alignment) 44
