4r , <br /> qualified voters of the City for their approval or disapproval of the following proposition which <br /> shall read substantially as follows as approved by the City Attorney: <br /> Proposition No. 1—Submitted by the City of Everett <br /> EVERETT MEDIC ONE PROGRAM <br /> TO MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE <br /> EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES <br /> Shall the City of Everett be authorized to impose a PERMANENT regular <br /> property levy of fifty cents($0.50)or less per thousand dollars ($1,000)of assessed <br /> valuation(for continuation and improvement of paramedic and emergency medical care <br /> and services)? <br /> YES <br /> NO <br /> The County Auditor of Snohomish County, ex officio Supervisor of Elections of the County, <br /> shall have jurisdiction over and shall conduct such special election. The City Clerk shall deliver <br /> to the Snohomish County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance showing its passage and <br /> including the ballot title herein set forth. <br /> SECTION 6: Certification of such proposition by the City Clerk to the Snohomish County <br /> Auditor in accordance with law prior to the date of such election on February 29, 2000, and any <br /> other act consistent with the authority and prior to the effective date of this ordinance, are ratified <br /> and confirmed. <br /> SECTION 7: Sections 1,2, 5, 6, 7 and 10 of this ordinance shall take effect upon this ordinance <br /> becoming effective;thereafter, Sections 3, 4, 8 and 9 of this ordinance shall take effect upon <br /> voter approval. <br /> SECTION 8: The City shall provide for separate accounting of the revenues generated by the <br /> levy. The City shall maintain a statement of the accounting which shall be updated at least every <br /> two (2)years and shall be available to the public upon request at no charge. <br /> SECTION 9: Section 9: Referendum Procedure Applicable to the Ordinance or Resolution <br /> Imposing Tax. <br /> A referendum petition, applicable to the Ordinance or resolution imposing the tax <br /> provided for herein,may be filed at any time with the City Clerk,the filing officer of the City. <br /> Within ten(10) days, of the filing of the petition,the City Clerk shall confer with the petitioner <br /> concerning form and style of the petition, issue the petition an identification number, secure an <br /> accurate, concise,and positive ballot title from the City Attorney, as required by RCW 29.27.060 <br /> 3 <br />
