Additional information and revisions are necessary before a permit can be issued. <br /> Please review and respond to the comments below: <br /> General Comments: <br /> 1. This building has been a Fourplex since at least 1956. Existing buildings are governed by the <br /> International Property Management Code (IPMC), the International Existing Building Code (IEBC) <br /> and the Fire Code. Any new construction should meet the current Washington State Building <br /> Code (IBC) and the current mechanical, plumbing, and the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC). <br /> 2. This building is classified as a R-2 occupancy and Construction type is VB. <br /> 3. The scope of work is an Alteration-Level 2. See IEBC Chapter 7 and 8 for requirements. <br /> 4. Please show the kitchen appliances in unit#5. <br /> 5. Any modifications to the fuel gas service or appliances is regulated by IEBC section 702.7.1, and <br /> the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), and requires a mechanical permit. <br /> 6. Any modifications to exterior walls, roof, and floors separating conditioned and unconditioned <br /> spaces should comply with the 2021 Washington State Energy Code for Commercial buildings. <br /> See WSEC Section C501. <br /> 7. Please complete the 64.55 worksheet, which is required for all residential buildings more than 2 <br /> units by State law. <br /> Architecture Comments <br /> 8.
