From: k p <kpgolf@gmail.com>
Sent: Monday, May 19, 2025 6:42 PM
To: DL‐Council
Subject: [EXTERNAL] Proposed Rezone of North Everett Mount Baker View‐Legion Neighborhood

CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless
you recognize the sender and know the content is safe.

Council, Mayor and Commission Members,

We are homeowners at 2206 6th Street and feel the need to comment on the proposed zoning change from R-1 to
UR-4.

FIrst, if you have not had the opportunity to see/walk our neighborhood of 190 residents, please consider taking
the time. You will see that it is a quiet neighborhood, with limited ingress and egress for both emergency vehicles
and residents, and no alleys. The current streets will not be able to handle additional traffic. Environmental factors
including Asarco contamination and some areas on Skyline drive, may also have some slope stability concerns.

We did not receive any notifications that this zoning change was in the works. Fortunately we found out and
educated ourselves. It is inconceivable that no one in the neighborhood was notified in a timely manner. Relying
on the Everett Herald for current information is no longer feasible. We would like an explanation for this non-
compliance notification for zoning change. No signs were posted and no memos were received by residents,

Please consider amending the proposed zone to either be left at R-1 or possibly NR-C.

Thank you in advance for your consideration

Dale Bowers
Karen Peterson
2206 6th Street
Everett WA 98201

subscrips2206@outlook.com
