Again, Contrary to your understanding and what has been reported in the press, the money was legislatively intended for <br />the Everett School District: Everett Memorial Stadium, not a "New Stadium," on April 21, 2023. Again, It appears to be a <br />conscientiously planned effort on the part of interested parties to include the words, "New Stadium." <br /> <br />"Who tried to take money from the School District?" <br /> <br />On April 9, 2025 Robyn Williams, Budget Director of the Office of Financial Management, sent out a <br />budget change form with cc's to the following people, any of whom could have tried to take money from the School <br />District, ie change the money that was unmistakably legislatively intended for the "Everett School District: Everett <br />Memorial Stadium" on April 21, 2023, to "New Stadium." <br /> <br />Those cc'd on the April 9, 2025 Robyn Williams, Budget Director of the Office of Financial Management letter were: <br /> <br />Susan Brooks, Senate Ways & Means Committee <br />Dave Johnson, House Appropriations Committee <br />Mark Matteson, House Transportation Committee <br />Kelly Simpson, Senate Transportation Committee <br />Kevin Feltus, LEAP Committee <br />Lori Ellis, LEAP Committee <br />Sara Rupe, Office of Financial Management <br />Bryce Andersen, Office of Financial Management <br /> <br />It is noteworthy that State of Washington Representatives from District 38 for the City of Everett include: <br /> <br />Senator June Robinson, Chair, Senate Ways & Means Committee <br />Representative Julio Cortes, Member, House Appropriations Committee <br /> <br />Senator June Robinson, Chair, Senate Ways & Means Committee, may have influenced Susan Brooks, Senior Staff <br />Coordinator of the Senate Ways & Means Committee <br /> <br />Representative Julio Cortes, Member, House Appropriations Committee, may have influenced Dave Johnson, Fiscal <br />Coordinator, House Appropriations Committee <br /> <br />Lobbists from Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball may have had a substantial influence in changing the <br />grant from "Everett School District: Everett Memorial Stadium" on April 21, 2023, to "New Stadium" at a later date. <br /> <br /> <br />"Who tried to take money from the School District?" <br /> <br /> <br />Although Results of Public Record Requests from the City of Everett and the Washington State Department of Commerce <br />may shed additional light on the question, at this point, we just don't know and we make no accusations. <br /> <br />The operative word in the question, ""Who tried to take money from the School District?" is the word TRIED. <br /> <br />The contract for the new stadium has not been executed by the State of Washington's Capital Projects Advisory Review <br />Board (CPARB). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The 2023 Regular Session Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 5200, Section 1038 Public Facility Improvement Fund <br />continues:
