SNO-ISLE TECH 2O23 SMALL WORKS Section 00 20 00, Page 9 <br />MCGRANAHAN ARCHITECTS INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br />1.25 SUBCONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITY CRITERIA <br />RCW 39.06.020 requires the contractor and subcontractor include language of this section in each of its first tier subcontracts, <br />and shall require of each of its subcontractors to include the same language of this section in each of their subcontracts, <br />adjusting only as necessary the terms used for the contracting parties. Upon request of the Owner, the Contractor shall <br />promptly provide documentation to the Owner demonstrating that the subcontractor meets the subcontractor responsibility <br />criteria below. The requirements of this section apply to all subcontractors regardless of tier. At the time of subcontract <br />execution, the Contractor shall verify that each of its first tier subcontractors meets the following bidder responsibility criteria: <br />A. Meets the responsibility criteria listed in RCW 39.04.350(1). <br />B. If applicable, have: <br />I . Have Industrial Insurance (workers' compensation) coverage for the subcontractor's employees working <br />in Washington, as required in Title 51 RCW; <br />2. A Washington Employment Security Department number, as required in Title 50 RCW; <br />3. A Washington Department of Revenue state excise tax registration number, as required in Title 82 RCW; <br />4. An electrical contractor license, if required by Chapter 19.28 RCW; <br />5. An elevator contractor license, if required by Chapter 70.87 RCW. <br />1.26 AWARD OF CONTRACT <br />Pursuant to RCW 28A.335.190 and 36.26.160(2), the Owner reserves the right to award a contract to the lowest responsible <br />Bidder as determined by the District. If an award is made, one contract will be awarded for all of the work to be performed. <br />The lowest Bid will be based on the aggregate sum of "Base Bid" plus any Alternates selected by the Owner in its sole <br />discretion. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and make further calls for bids in the same manner as the <br />original Invitation. <br />1.27 NON- DISCRIMINATION <br />The Owner is an equal opportunity employer. The bidder understands and agrees that its non-compliance with applicable <br />Federal and State anti -discrimination laws may result in rejection of the bid or subsequent cancellation of this contract. <br />1.28 PREVAILING WAGES <br />This is a prevailing wage project, subject to the provisions of RCW 39.12, except that, off -site manufacturers of standard <br />items for sale on the general market are not subject to the prevailing wage requirements of the Statute. Even though prevailing <br />wage rates may be listed in the Contract Documents, the Contractor is responsible to verify the accuracy of any such listing. <br />1.29 ADDENDA <br />Addenda will be mailed, delivered or faxed to all who are known by the Architect to have received a complete set of Bidding <br />Documents. <br />Copies of Addenda will be made available for inspection wherever Bidding Documents are on file for that purpose. <br />mcg-ARC 2120.000 February 28, 2023 <br />
