�)) SNO-ISLE TECH 2O23 SMALL WORKS Section 00 70 00, Page 7 <br />McGRANAHAN ARCHITECTS GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />1.4 CAPITALIZATION <br />1.4.1 Terms capitalized in these General Conditions include" those which are specifically defined <br />herein. <br />1.5 INTERPRETATION <br />a 1.5.1 In the interest of brevity the Contract Documents frequently omit modifying words such as "all" <br />and "any" and articles such as "the" and "an," but the fact that a modifier or an article is absent from one <br />statement and appears in another is not intended to affect the interpretation of either statement. <br />1.5.2 The General Conditions of the Contract Documents are modified from AIA Document A201, <br />GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION. <br />1.5.3 No oral representation prior to bid concerning the Work by the Owner or its representatives shall <br />alter or limit in any way the Contractor's responsibilities under this Contract, including, but not limited <br />to, obligations to carefully inspect the site of the work and thoroughly examine and be familiar with the <br />Contract Documents and applicable government regulations and permits pertaining to the work. <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />r OWNER <br />2.1 DEFINITION AND AUTHORITY <br />2.1.1 The Owner of this project is the Mukilteo School District No. 6 ("District" or "Owner") which <br />- is governed by its Board of Directors ("Board"). The District shall designate a representative(s) <br />�a <br />("Representative"), who shall be an employee or agent of the District, to act on its behalf. Unless <br />specifically limited by the District, its Representative(s) shall have, at his/her discretion, complete <br />authority to transmit instruction, receive information, to interpret and define the Owner's policies and <br />j s decisions with respect to the Work, and to approve Construction Change Directives. The Board shall <br />retain the final decision on acceptance of the contract and approval of any proposed Change Orders. The <br />District's Representative for this Project is: <br />Keith Stefanson <br />Mukilteo School District No. 6 <br />f, 8925 Airport Road <br />Everett, WA 98204 <br />2.2 INFORMATION AND SERVICES REQUIRED OF THE OWNER <br />- 2.2.1 The Owner shall furnish surveys describing legal limitations for the site of the Project, and a <br />legal description of the site upon written request of the Contractor. <br />2.2.2 Information or services under the Owner's control which are required to be furnished to the <br />Contractor under the terms of this agreement shall be furnished by the Owner with reasonable <br />promptness to avoid delay in orderly progress of the Work. <br />- mcg-ARC 2120.000 February 28, 2023 <br />
