SNO-ISLE TECH 2O23 SMALL WORKS Section 00 70 00, Page 39 <br />MCGRANAHAN ARCHITECTS GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />If equipment is required for which a rental rate is not established by The Rental Rate Blue Book, an <br />agreed rental rate shall be established for that equipment,- which rate and use must be approved by the <br />Owner prior to performing the changed Work. <br />7.5.4 Cost of change in insurance or bond premium. This is defined as: <br />.1 Contractors' liability insurance: The increased cost (expressed as a percentage) of any changes <br />in the Contractor's liability insurance arising directly from the changed Work; and <br />.2 Public works bond: The increased cost (expressed as a percentage) of the change in the <br />Contractor's premium for performance and payment bonds required by the Owner and arising directly <br />from the changed Work. <br />Upon request, the Contractor shall provide the Owner with supporting documentation from its insurer or <br />surety. <br />7.5.5 Subcontractor costs: These are payments the Contractor makes to Subcontractors for changed <br />Work performed by Subcontractors. The Subcontractors' cost of changed Work shall be determined in <br />the same manner as prescribed in Subparagraphs 7.5.1 through 7.5.4. <br />7.5.6 Fee: The Fee is the allowance for all combined overhead, profit and other costs, including all <br />office, home office and site overhead (including project manager, project engineer, other engineers, <br />project foremen, estimator, and superintendent and their vehicles), facilities, layout, coordination, <br />handling and delivery, taxes (except for sales tax), engineering, estimating, purchasing, quality control <br />or assurance, clerical, preparation and safety costs, hand and small tools and expendable charges, change <br />order or claim preparation, preparation of as -built drawings, impact on unchanged Work, and delay, <br />acceleration and impact costs of any kind, added to the total cost to the Owner of any Change Order, <br />Construction Change Directive, Claim, or any other claim of any kind. It shall be limited in all cases to <br />the following schedule. <br />.1 The Contractor shall receive 15% of the costs prescribed in Subparagraphs 7.5.1 through 7.5.4 <br />of any materials properly supplied or work satisfactorily performed by the Contractor's own forces. <br />.2 The Contractor shall receive 8% of the amount owed directly to a Subcontractor for materials <br />properly supplied or work satisfactorily performed by that Subcontractor as prescribed in Subparagraph <br />7.5.5. <br />.3 Each Subcontractor of any tier shall receive 12% of the costs prescribed in Subparagraphs 7.5.1 <br />through 7.5.4 of any materials properly supplied or work satisfactorily performed by its own forces. <br />.4 Each Subcontractor of any tier shall receive 8% of the amount it properly incurs for materials <br />properly supplied or Work satisfactorily performed by its suppliers or subcontractors of any lower tier <br />as prescribed in Subparagraph 7.5.5. <br />.5 The total summed Fee of the Contractor and all Subcontractors of any tier shall not exceed 30%. <br />- ! mcg-ARC 2120.000 February 28, 2023 <br />
