Fall protection should be provided when required per Section R312.2.1. <br /> 9. Stairs (IRC Section R311.7): <br /> a. Minimum 36-inch width (IRC Section R311.7.1). <br /> b. Landings (IRC Section R311.7.6). <br /> c. Handrails (IRC Section R311.7.8). <br /> d. Guards (IRC Section R312.1). Limit openings per Section R312.1.3. <br /> e. Additional comments <br /> will typically be generated once a complete submission is reviewed. All comments are based on the 2018 <br /> International Building Code (IBC), 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), and/or the 2018 <br /> Washington State Residential Energy Code (WSEC), as amended by the State of Washington and adopted <br /> by the City of Everett. <br /> These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other <br /> departments (such as Utilities, Traffic, Planning or Fire).
