May 21, 2025 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., May 21, 2025, <br />by President Schwab. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Zarlingo, Fosse, Bader, <br />Rhyne, Vogeli, and President Schwab were present. Council Member Tuohy was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the May 14, 2025 meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin read a proclamation congratulating the Henry M. Jackson High School robotics <br />team, Team 2910 “Jack in the Bot” for their extraordinary achievement in winning the 2025 First <br />Robotics World Championship. <br /> <br />The Mayor invited Head Coach Steve Kaneb and Principal Marshall Tower to receive the <br />proclamation and provide comments. <br /> <br /> <br />FIREFIGHTER AWARD <br /> <br />John Van Dalen with Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve presented the Everett Fire <br />Department with the Above and Beyond Award. <br /> <br />Chief DeMarco accepted this award on behalf of the Everett Fire Department. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin praised Clean Everett Day and reminded the public that Cruizin’ 2 Colby is <br />happening on May 26th and 27th, a Memorial Day Observation is Monday at 11 a.m. at the Pacific <br />Rim Plaza, and Sorticulture is June 6th – 8th. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />
