May 7, 2025 <br />2 <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Council members thanked the public commentors. <br /> <br />President Schwab provided comments on the comprehensive plan, and stated the next open <br />house is tomorrow night at the Carl Gibson Center at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Vice President Zarlingo provided comments on the State Department of Transportation Working <br />Group on State Route 525 Improvements. <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse provided comments on the comprehensive plan and stated the <br />Marshallese Constitution Day Celebration is May 23rd – 26th at Jackson Park. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader attended the Puget Sound Regional Growth Management Policy Board. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne stated that the next comprehensive plan update open house is tomorrow <br />night at the Carl Gibson Center at 6:00 p.m. and provided information on where to find <br />comprehensive plan update details on the City’s website. She stated the Port Gardner <br />Neighborhood Association meeting is at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Resource Center at the <br />School District, the Glacier View Neighborhood meeting is on Tuesday, and the Farmer’s Market <br />opens this Sunday on Mother’s Day at 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli attended the Alliance for Housing Affordability meeting and stated <br />Program Manager Chris Collier was promoted to the Government Affairs Director, and they plan <br />to bring on more team members for additional support. She provided comments on Bike Month, <br />the tragic loss of the 13-year-old child earlier this week and stated that Local Initiatives Support <br />Corporation (LISC) will be hosting their first South Everett Community Development Roundtable <br />on Tuesday, May 13th from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Village on Casino Road. She also attended the Latino <br />Educational Training Institute (LETI) celebration on May 4th. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy provided comments on the comprehensive plan and attended the <br />Community Health and Safety Council Committee meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson provided comments on the comprehensive plan <br />update and stated new proposals would be brought to the council on May 21st, and the final vote <br />will be on June 18th. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY
