May 28, 2025 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 12:30 p.m., May 28, 2025, <br />by President Schwab. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Zarlingo, Fosse, Bader, <br />Rhyne, Vogeli, and President Schwab were present. Council Member Tuohy was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the May 21, 2025 meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin congratulated Deb Williams on her retirement and thanked her for 42 years of <br />public service. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />The Council received nine (9) written comments and the following members of the public spoke: <br />Evan Bingaman, Eric Nordin, and Madeline Shepherd. Melissa Nordin submitted written <br />comment in lieu of public comment. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo congratulated Deb Williams on her retirement and attended the Puget <br />Sound Regional General Assembly. <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse attended the Marshallese Constitution Day Festival, reminded the public <br />about Sorticulture on June 6th – 8th, and thanked Deb Williams for her service. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader thanked Deb Williams for her service. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne attended the Historic Commission Meeting, thanked the public <br />commenters, reminded the public the Everett Animal Shelter is hosting a free dog microchip <br />event on June 7th for low income households, and reminded the public that the city’s website has <br />a subscribe function for city updates. <br />
