Page 10 of 23 <br /> <br />C. The supplier will be responsible for promptly cleaning up any sodium hypochlorite spilled during <br />transfer into the storage tanks and the WFP. <br />1. The truck or trailer must always carry a suitable spill-cleanup kit, and the driver must be <br />trained in its use. <br />2. Any sodium hypochlorite spilled during unloading shall be classified as a hazardous material <br />spill. <br />2.9 CITY OF EVERETT RESPONSIBILITIES <br />A. Determining when additional product is required and ordering products to meet needs within the <br />delivery timeline. <br />2.10 SAFETY DATA SHEETS (SDS) <br />The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) includes criteria for the <br />classification of health, physical, and environmental hazards, as well as specifying what information <br />should be included on labels of hazardous chemicals as well as SDS. <br />A copy of the most current SDS, complying with GHS criteria, must be submitted with each shipment of <br />chemicals. <br />2.11 REQUIRED AFFIDAVITS <br />A. Each shipment must be accompanied by a weight certificate from a certified weigher. The <br />certificate must clearly display vehicle gross and tare weights. <br />B. Each shipment must be accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis, which must include, but is not <br />limited to, the following information: <br />1. Chemical name <br />2. Batch identification <br />3. Date of manufacture <br />4. Specific gravity <br />5. Percent of sodium hypochlorite by weight <br />6. Percent of excess caustic by weight <br />2.12 QUANTITIES <br />The quantities listed in the price sheet are expressly agreed to be an estimated usage only, and nothing <br />will bind the City of Everett to purchase any specified number of parts. It is also understood that the City <br />of Everett will not be obligated to purchase or pay for any items until ordered and received by the city. <br />The city reserves the right to order and receive quantities as needed. <br />2.13 PRICING <br />A. Suppliers must include all cost elements, including duties, shipping, handling, delivery, and <br />transportation costs in their pricing. Except as otherwise provided in the solicitation, there must be <br />no additional costs of any kind. <br />B. Per RCW 82.04.050 & WAC 458-20-113, Sales tax does not apply to bulk deliveries of water <br />treatment chemicals for drinking water. The city can provide a reseller permit to the awarded <br />supplier.
