June 4, 2025 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., June 4, 2025, by <br />President Schwab. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Council Members Zarlingo, Bader, Rhyne, Vogeli, Tuohy, and <br />President Schwab were present. Mayor Franklin and Council Member Fosse were excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the May 28, 2025 meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />The Council received no written comments and the following members of the public spoke: <br />Lynsey Gagnon, Scott Lederitz, Anthony Jordan, Cheryl Grohn, Dan Anderson, Samara Cogan, Rich <br />Ryan, and Madeline Shepherd. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo provided updates on the Council’s portion of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne reminded the public that public commenters are to address the full <br />Council and not specific Council Members, thanked the public commenters, advised the public <br />City and Council do not any authority on the closure of the Early Learning Center at Everett <br />Community College, attended the Snohomish County Transportation Coalition meeting, wished <br />the public a Happy Pride Month, and attended the Snohomish County Pride flag raising. <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli thanked the public commenters, attended a Parks Board tour, requested <br />for administration to review the possibility for a Poet Laureate, provided condolences on the loss <br />of Jonathon Joss, attended the Loganberry Lane opening, reminded the public that the trails at <br />Loganberry Lane are on-leash for dogs, attended the Alliance for Housing Affordability meeting, <br />and wished the public a Happy Pride Month. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy attended the Community Health and Safety Committee meeting and <br />reminded the public that Sorticulture is happening June 6th – 8th. <br />
