This shall include all temporary pavement markings applied to milled 10 <br />surfaces that will be exposed to traffic and all new pavement lifts that will be exposed to 11 <br />traffic. 12 <br /> 13 <br />8-23.2 Materials 14 <br /> 15 <br />Section 8-23.2 is supplemented to read as follows: 16 <br /> 17 <br />(******) 18 <br />Materials for temporary markings shall be paint or reflectorized aluminum tape, as 19 <br />directed by the Engineer and selected from approved materials listed in the Qualified 20 <br />Products List. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Temporary paint shall be used on subsurface pavements and may be paved over. Should 23 <br />sudden inclement weather create a pavement too wet to install temporary paint, 24 <br />temporary flexible raised pavement markers shall be installed on 40’ intervals as directed 25 <br />by the Engineer. Temporary flexible raised pavement markers shall be selected from 26 <br />approved materials listed in the Qualified Products List. Temporary flexible raised 27 <br />pavement markers shall be nailed to the subsurface pavement and removed prior to 28 <br />paving. Reflectorized aluminum tape shall be used on new pavement and removed 29 <br />during permanent marking application 30 <br /> 31 <br />8-23.5 Payment 32 <br /> 33 <br />Section 8-23.5 is supplemented read as follows: 34 <br /> 35 <br />(******) 36 <br />Temporary Pavement Marking will be paid for under bid item “Temporary Pavement 37 <br />Markings” per linear foot. This shall be full pay for constructing, maintaining, and 38 <br />removing temporary lines and markers as specified.
