2025 FEDERAL OVERLAY, W MUKILTEO BLVD – GLENWOOD AVE TO DOGWOOD DR <br /> PAGE SP120 OF SP123 SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />WORK ORDER #3842 April 15, 2025 FEDERAL AID# NHPP-2776(011) <br /> 1 <br />All field layout and temporary pavement marking shall be completed during the 2 <br />same shift as the striping is obliterated by grinding or paving unless otherwise 3 <br />directed by the Engineer. 4 <br />Permanent pavement marking shall not begin until the layout is approved by the 5 <br />Contracting Agency. Such approval shall not relieve the Contractor of 6 <br />responsibility for the accuracy of the field markings. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Payment 9 <br /> 10 <br />All costs associated with layout of temporary striping shall be included in the 11 <br />associated bid items for pavement marking and shall be full pay for all labor, 12 <br />equipment, materials, and supervision utilized to perform the Work specified for 13 <br />layout and preliminary spotting of pavement markings, including any 14 <br />resurveying, checking, correction of errors, replacement of missing or damaged 15 <br />markings, and coordination efforts. 16 <br /> 17 <br />8-22.3(2) Preparation of Roadway Surfaces 18 <br /> 19 <br />Section 8-22.3(2) is supplemented with the following: 20 <br /> 21 <br />(******) 22 <br />Apply materials to new HMA that is sufficiently cured according to the manufacturer’s 23 <br />recommendation. Permanent paint marking material applied to new HMA require a 24 <br />pavement cure period of at least 21 days. Permanent Type D marking material 25 <br />applied to new HMA require a pavement cure period of at least 10 days. 26 <br /> 27 <br />8-22.4 Measurement 28 <br /> 29 <br />Section 8-22.4 is supplemented read as follows: 30 <br /> 31 <br />(******) 32 <br />The measurement for “Plastic Sharrow” will be per each unit installed. 33 <br /> 34 <br />The measurement of aerial survey marker and access parking space symbol will be per 35 <br />each for each marker installed. 36 <br /> 37 <br />8-22.5 Payment 38 <br /> 39 <br />Section 8-22.5 is supplemented read as follows: 40 <br /> 41 <br />(******) 42 <br />“Plastic Sharrow”, per each. 43 <br /> 44
