The Engineer will evaluate the Type A Progress Schedule and approve or return the 1 <br />schedule for corrections within 15 calendar days of receiving the submittal. 2 <br /> 3 <br />1-08.4.RTF 4 <br />1-08.4 Prosecution of Work 5 <br /> 6 <br />Delete this section and replace it with the following: 7 <br /> 8 <br />1-08.4 Notice to Proceed and Prosecution of Work 9 <br />(July 23, 2015 APWA GSP) 10 <br /> 11 <br />Notice to Proceed will be given after the contract has been executed and the contract 12 <br />bond and evidence of insurance have been approved and filed by the Contracting 13 <br />Agency. The Contractor shall not commence with the work until the Notice to Proceed 14 <br />has been given by the Engineer. The Contractor shall commence construction activities 15 <br />on the project site within ten days of the Notice to Proceed Date, unless otherwise 16 <br />approved in writing. The Contractor shall diligently pursue the work to the physical 17 <br />completion date within the time specified in the contract. Voluntary shutdown or slowing 18 <br />of operations by the Contractor shall not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility to 19 <br />complete the work within the time(s) specified in the contract. 20 <br /> 21 <br />When shown in the Plans, the first order of work shall be the installation of high visibility 22 <br />fencing to delineate all areas for protection or restoration, as described in the Contract. 23 <br />Installation of high visibility fencing adjacent to the roadway shall occur after the 24 <br />placement of all necessary signs and traffic control devices in accordance with 1-10.1(2). 25 <br />Upon construction of the fencing, the Contractor shall request the Engineer to inspect the 26 <br />fence.
