SITE DESCRIPTION
The investigation site is undeveloped and forested with native species. Vegetation includes big -leaf
maple (Ater macropi gllum), western red cedar (Thuja plicata), red alder (Alms ruhra), vine maple (Ater
circinatum), red elderberry (Samhucus racemosa), osobcrry (Oemleria ceracifoamis), salmonbcrry (Rubes
S)ectahihs), English ivy (Hedera helix), sword fern (Poly.stichum mmitum), and ladv fern (Athyazum filix-
femina).
Wetland and 0HW1\1 boundaries were estimated using best professional judgment and are based
on visual observation from the edge of legal access, aerial photo interpretation, and GIS analysis.
One wetland (Wetland B) and one stream (Stream A) were identified in the investigation area.
Wetland B was rated using the Department of Ecology Wetland Rating System for Western
Washington 2014 update (per Everett Municipal Code - E1VIG 19.37.090). It is a Category III
wetland with a habitat score of 6 and receives a 150-foot standard buffer (EMC 19.37.110).
Edgewater Creek is a Type F stream. Per EMC 19.37.170(A)(3), Type F streams with buffer areas
consisting of intact native vegetation receive 100-foot protective buffers.
CRITICALAREAS FINDINGS
Table 1 - Critical Areas Summary
Critical Area
Critical Area 10
Snohomish Co. These sources include the following:
• USFWS National Wetlands Inventory (NWI)
NWI depicts a stream flowing through the investigation area that eventually flows to and
Estuarine and Marine wetland (Puget Sound) off -site. Another stream is shown off -site, along
the northwest investigation boundary. No other wetlands or streams are depicted on the NWI.
• City of Everett Map Everett
The City of Everett online mapper depicts Edgewater Creek and a large wetland associated
with the stream. No other features are shown on or in the vicinity of the investigation area.
• WDFW SalmonScapc
Salmonscape depicts the same stream (Edgewater Creek) as the NWI mapper and the City of
Everett mapper. The northern portion of Edgewater Creek as gradient accessible to Chinook,
Colic, Chum, Steelhcad, and Pink Salmon.
11e[tand Resources, Inc. 2 Harbor's Edge
.lay 10, 2022 WRI #20299
