r
Modified BMP procedure shall completely block Construction Stormwater (CSW) flows from
entering storm water inlets. During construction, ponding at inlets shall be pumped into
established CSW basin as needed.
Alternate flow control BMPs shall be evaluated by the CESCL in the event the BMP(s) listed
above are deemed ineffective or inappropriate during construction to satisfy the requirements
set forth in the CSGP. To avoid potential erosion and sediment control issues the CESCL shall
promptly initiate the repair of existing BMPs or implementation of other BMPs after the first sign
that existing BMPs are ineffective or failing. If conditions at the site create the potential for
vehicles to track sediments onto public roads or other access routes not within the immediate
work area, the vehicle tires shall be manually brushed or scraped prior to leaving or driven over
rock surfaces strategically located throughout the site (e.g., a construction entrance or exit) to
knock sediment loose from tires.
In some cases, sediment discharge in concentrated runoff can be controlled using permanent
storm water BMPs (e.g., infiltration swales, ponds, trenches). Sediment loads can limit the
effectiveness of some permanent storm water BMPs, such as those used for infiltration or
biofiltration; however, those BMPs designed to remove solids by settling (wet ponds or detention
ponds) can be used during the construction phase. When permanent storm water BMPs will be
used to control sediment discharge during construction, the structure shall be protected from
excessive sedimentation with adequate erosion and sediment control BMPs. Any accumulated
sediment shall be removed and stockpiled as directed by the site engineer after construction is
complete. The permanent storm water BMP shall be re -stabilized with vegetation per applicable
design requirements once the remainder of the site has been stabilized.
West of the Cascade Mountains Crest
Season
Dates
Number of Days Soils Can
be Left Exposed
During the Dry Season
May 1 — September 30
7 days
During the Wet Season
October 1 — April 30
2 days
Anticipated project dates:
Activity / Phase
Start Date
End Date
Boulevard and Trunkline
Utilities Development —
Roadway Phase
8/2019
8/2020
Advanced Site Work Phase
8/2019
8/2019
Phase 1 Buildings and
Parking Lots
TBD
Phase 2 Buildings
TBD
Phase 3-5 and Site
TBD
Will you construct during the wet season?
❑ YesX No
Temporary and permanent seeding shall be performed per the specifications at a rate of
approximately 20 to 25 pounds per acre.
