Describe drainage flow paths (direction, location):
There is an existing yard drain in the flat back half of the site which appears to feed into
the roadside ditch. Starting about 70 feet from the property line, surface runoff would
appear to follow 3% site slopes gently toward Rosewood Ave.
Are there Critical Areas? What are they and where are they located relative to your project?:
Site does not appear to be located in any critical areas in either Map Everett or
Snohomish County PDS. One fork of Swamp Creek and associated wetlands are
approximately 185 feet to the east, as measured off Map Everett, however site runoff
wnidri annaar to first no toward thp drainnoP systam at Rnsawnnd Ave rather than
Task 2: Describe proposed project
Describe your proposed project:
Construct a new single-family residence on a zone R-2, 7041 SF size lot.
Improvements consist of 1987 SF (roof) house with 118 SF walkway and 1654 SF
concrete driveway, and 2,288 SF lawn & landscaping.
How will your project change the existing condition?:
It will convert a lot with predominantly existing gravel groundcover to roof, concrete and
lawn areas.
Describe roofs, patios, driveways, or structures added:
1987 SF roof area, 118 SF patio/walkways, 1654 SF driveway.
How will stormwater be managed?:
The shape of the lot and footprint of improvements makes most on -site BMPs infeasible
due to either lack of available flowpath length or required infiltration setbacks. This
project proposes to allow runoff to enter the roadside ditch via piped connection.
Describe how the project will affect existing drainage systems onsite or on adjacent properties
or both:
The back half of the existing lot has an existing yard drain which appears to connect to
the roadside ditch. The front half of the lot appears to surface flow to the ditch. This
project will not alter existing drainage patterns.
City of Everett Public Works
Small Project Stormwater Site Plan Report -Dec 2019
