• i ;i • r <br /> 410 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1797 <br /> An ordinance providing for the improvement of Everett <br /> Avenue from the west line of Broadway to the east line of <br /> Rucker Avenue, by removal of old lumber, grading to proper <br /> grade, construction of concrete or asphalt pavement, necessary <br /> concrete walks and alley crossings, installation of necessary <br /> drainage, making old work conform and doing such other work in <br /> connection therewith as may be necessary to make a complete <br /> improvement, approving the plans and specifications for such <br /> improvement, creating an assessment district, creating a local <br /> improvement district fund therefor, providing that payment for <br /> said improvement be made by special assessment on the property <br /> in said district under the mode of "Payment by Bonds". <br /> WHEREAS, a majority petition of the property-owners <br /> petitioning for said improvement has heretofore been filed with <br /> the commissioner of public works, and said commissioner::found the <br /> things set forth in said petition to be true, and <br /> WHEREAS, said commissioner of public works has filed with <br /> the city council all data and information in regard to said <br /> improvement as required by law, and <br /> WHEREAS, the commissioner of public works has recommended <br /> to the city council that such improvement petitioned for be made, <br /> and it appearing to the city council that public convenience and <br /> necessity requires such improvement be made, <br /> NOW THrREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Everett Avenue from the west line of Broad- <br /> way to the east Line of Rucker Avenue, be improved by removal of <br /> old lumber, grading to proper grade, construction of concrete or <br /> asphalt pavement, necessary concrete walks, installation of nec- <br /> essary drainage, and doing such other work as maybe necessary to <br /> make a complete improvement according to plans and specifications <br /> prepared under the direction of the city engineer, which plans <br /> and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. <br />
