Short-term bicycle spaces must be located: 3 <br />a. Within fifty feet of a building or site entrance and visible from within the building or 4 <br />site, provided that for sites or buildings with multfple entrances, spaces shall be 5 <br />distributed approximately in proportfon to their antfcipated use; and 6 <br />b. Along a natural path of travel from the public right-of-way to the building or site 7 <br />entrance(s), either on-site or within the adjacent public right-of-way; and 8 <br />i. If within the public right-of-way, bicycle racks must not be within the 9 <br />pedestrian clear zone of a sidewalk and must be at least 36 inches from outside 10 <br />face of street curb. 11 <br />c. Outside of a building or enclosure; and 12 <br />d. At the same grade as the sidewalk, or at a locatfon that can be reached by an ADA 13 <br />accessible route from the sidewalk; and 14 <br />Figure 34-4: Short-term bicycle parking space location 15 <br /> 16 <br />e. If short-term bicycle spaces are located within or adjacent to a vehicle parking area, 17 <br />short term bicycle racks and bicycle spaces shall be protected by physical barrier(s) or 18 <br />adequate protectfon from vehicle interference (minimum 36 inches separatfon from any 19 <br />parking space). 20
