The oversize bicycle space (horizontal only) is 3 feet wide, 10 feet long, and 3 feet 4 inches tall. 1 <br />Bicycle spaces may exceed one or more dimensions. 2 <br />3. If other types of micromobility are proposed different from an oversize bicycle, (e.g. bicycle 3 <br />trailers, pedalcab, etc.), an applicant may propose, and the Planning Director may allow, 4 <br />dimensions other than an oversize bicycle. 5 <br />4. Bike Rack/Bike Room design standards. Where bicycle spaces are provided in racks, short-term or long-10 <br />term, the racks must meet the following standards: 11 <br />1. The rack must be designed so that the bicycle farm and one wheel can be locked to a rigid 12 <br />portfon of the rack with a U-shaped shackle lock, when both wheels are left on the bicycle. 13 <br />2. If the rack is a horizontal rack, it must support the bicycle at two points, including the frame; 14 <br />and 15 <br />3. The rack must be securely anchored with tamper-resistant hardware. 16 <br />4. Bicycle spaces, maneuvering areas, and clearance dimensions must meet the minimum 17 <br />standards contained in Table 34-6. 18 <br />a. Where bicycle spaces are adjacent to a sidewalk, the maneuvering depth area may 19 <br />extend into the public right of way. 20 <br />b. Stacked (2-tfer) bicycle racks shall allow bicycles to be nearly horizontal when in the 21 <br />final stored positfon; stacked racks must include a mechanically-assisted lifting 22 <br />mechanism to mount the bicycle on the top tfer. 23 <br />c. Where stacked (2-tfer) racks are used, clear space from floor to ceiling shall be no less 24 <br />than 9 feet. 25
