Community development block grant designated neighborhoods. 1 <br />“SEPA” means the current editfon of the State Environmental Policy Act and the city ordinance 2 <br />implementfng the state Act. 3 <br />“Street” means a public or private thoroughfare which provides the principal means of access to abutting 4 <br />propertfes. 5 <br />“Traffic engineer” means the traffic engineer for the city. 6 <br />“Transfer of development rights” means, in general, the process for transferring development rights 7 <br />from a sending site to a receiving site. 8 <br />“Use” means the actfvity or functfon carried out on an area of land, or in a building located thereon. 9 <br />“Vacate” means to move out; to make vacant or empty; to leave. 10 <br />“Water-dependent” has the same meaning as set forth in Chapter 19.08 of the Everett shoreline master 11 <br />program. 12 <br />“Water-dependent use” has the same meaning as set forth in Chapter 19.08 of the Everett shoreline 13 <br />master program. 14 <br />“Water-related uses” has the same meaning as set forth in Chapter 19.08 of the Everett shoreline master 15 <br />program. 16 <br />“Zone” means a specifically delineated area within the city, which is indicated on the zoning map, within 17 <br />which regulatfons and requirements uniformly govern the use, locatfon and size of buildings and land. 18 <br />“Zoning map” means the map adopted by the city showing the geographic locatfon of zones within the 19 <br />municipal boundaries. 20 <br />19.04.030, LOT, BUILDING, AND STRUCTURE DEFINITIONS 21 <br />“Accessory Dwelling Unit” or “ADU,” means a dwelling unit with an interior habitable area, including 22 <br />basements and attics but not including a garage or accessory structure, that is under 1,000 square feet 23 <br />and which is subordinate to a permitted principal dwelling unit located on the same lot. 24 <br />“Antenna” means any exterior apparatus or apparatuses designed for telephonic, radio, data, internet, or 25 <br />other communicatfons through the sending and/or receiving of electromagnetfc waves or radio 26 <br />frequency signals, including without limitatfon equipment attached to a tower or building for the 27 <br />purpose of providing personal wireless services. 28 <br />“Awning—canopy” means a fixed-roofed structure, with open sides, which provides shade or protectfon 29 <br />and is in whole or in part self-supportfng. 30 <br />“Binding site plan” means a drawing to a scale specified by local ordinance which: (1) identffies and 31 <br />shows the areas and locatfons of all streets, roads, improvements, utflitfes, open spaces, and any other 32 <br />matters specified by local regulatfons; (2) contains inscriptfons or attachments setting forth such 33 <br />appropriate limitatfons and conditfons for the use of the land as are established by the local government 34
