<br />“Community garden” means a site where food, ornamental crops, or trees are grown for small-scale 1
<br />cultfvatfon, generally to residents of apartments and other dwelling types without private gardens. 2
<br />“Correctfonal facilitfes” means public or private facilitfes providing for the confinement of juvenile 3
<br />offenders, for the incarceratfon, confinement or detentfon of individuals arrested for or convicted of a 4
<br />crime, or for the punishment, correctfon and/or rehabilitatfon of individuals convicted of crimes whose 5
<br />freedom is restricted. The term “jails and correctfonal facilitfes” includes those group-care homes, Class 6
<br />II (as defined in this sectfon, including subclassificatfons II-A, II-B, and II-C) which are exempt from the 7
<br />provisions of the Federal Fair Housing Act Amendments of 1988 and the Washington Housing Policy Act 8
<br />(RCW 35.63.220). 9
<br />“Food bank” is a place where stocks of food, typically basic provisions, are supplied free of charge to 10
<br />people in need, by a nonprofit or charitable organizatfon. 11
<br />“Government administratfve offices” means offices for federal, state, county, city or other governmental, 12
<br />public utflity, school district, or quasi-public agencies where staff of such agencies are employed in the 13
<br />administratfon of government or public services. This term does not include correctfonal facilitfes, utflity 14
<br />facilitfes, equipment storage or parking, schools, fire statfons, community centers, parks, or other public 15
<br />or quasi-public service uses specifically listed in this tftle. 16
<br />“Government use” means offices or facilitfes for federal, state, county, city or other governmental, public 17
<br />utflity, school district, or quasi-public agencies where staff of such agencies are employed in the 18
<br />administratfon of government or public services. This term does not include correctfonal facilitfes, utflity 19
<br />facilitfes, schools, parks, or other public or quasi-public service uses specifically listed in this tftle. 20
<br />“Hazardous waste” means all dangerous and extremely hazardous waste as defined in RCW 21
<br />70.105.010(15), except for moderate risk waste as set forth in RCW 70.105.010(17). 22
<br />“Hazardous waste storage” means the holding of hazardous waste for a temporary period, as regulated 23
<br />by the state dangerous waste regulatfons, Chapter 173-303 WAC. 24
<br />“Hazardous waste treatment” means the physical, chemical or biological processing of hazardous waste 25
<br />for the purpose of rendering these wastes for material resource recovery, amenable for storage, or 26
<br />reduced in volume, as regulated by the state dangerous waste regulatfons, Chapter 173-303 WAC. 27
<br />“Hazardous waste treatment and storage facility, off-site” means treatment and storage facilitfes which 28
<br />treat and store hazardous wastes generated on propertfes other than those on which the off-site 29
<br />facilitfes are located. 30
<br />“Hazardous waste treatment and storage facility, on-site” means treatment and storage facilitfes which 31
<br />treat and store hazardous wastes generated on the same property. 32
<br />“Hospital” means an instftutfon that provides twenty-four-hour-per-day care for the diagnosis, 33
<br />treatment, care and curing of individuals suffering from illness, injury or any conditfon requiring medical, 34
<br />obstetric, surgical, or psychiatric care; and other related uses customarily incidental thereto. 35
<br />“Light rail statfon” means a dedicated public facility providing access to light rail trains and typically 36
<br />consistfng of an elevated platiorm with waitfng areas, tfcket vending machines, bicycle facilitfes, and 37
