This shall include all temporary pavement markings applied to milled 17 <br />surfaces that will be exposed to traffic and all new pavement lifts that will be exposed to 18 <br />traffic. 19 <br /> 20 <br />8-23.2 Materials 21 <br /> 22 <br />Section 8-23.2 is supplemented to read as follows: 23 <br /> 24 <br />(******) 25 <br />Materials for temporary markings shall be paint or reflectorized aluminum tape, as 26 <br />directed by the Engineer and selected from approved materials listed in the Qualified 27 <br />Products List. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Temporary paint shall be used on subsurface pavements and may be paved over. Should 30 <br />sudden inclement weather create a pavement too wet to install temporary paint, 31 <br />temporary flexible raised pavement markers shall be installed on 40’ intervals as directed 32 <br />by the Engineer. Temporary flexible raised pavement markers shall be selected from 33 <br />approved materials listed in the Qualified Products List. Temporary flexible raised 34 <br />pavement markers shall be nailed to the subsurface pavement and removed prior to 35 <br />paving. Reflectorized aluminum tape shall be used on new pavement and removed 36 <br />during permanent marking application 37 <br /> 38 <br />8-23.5 Payment 39 <br /> 40 <br />Section 8-23.5 is supplemented read as follows: 41 <br /> 42 <br />(******) 43 <br />Temporary Pavement Marking will be paid for under bid item “Temporary Pavement 44 <br />Markings” per linear foot. This shall be full pay for constructing, maintaining, and 45 <br />removing temporary lines and markers as specified. No additional compensation will be 46 <br />allowed when Contractor is required to repair temporary markings that have been 47 <br />damaged or worn. 48 <br /> 49
