Shop fabrication. 12 <br /> 13 <br />A certification of materials origin will be required for all iron or steel products prior to such 14 <br />items being incorporated into the permanent work. The Contractor will not receive 15 <br />payment until the certification is received by the Engineer. The certification shall be on 16 <br />WSDOT Form 350-109 provided by the Engineer, or such other form the Contractor 17 <br />chooses, provided it contains the same information as WSDOT Form 350-109. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Manufactured Products 20 <br />Due to a nationwide waiver, Buy America requirements do not apply to Manufactured 21 <br />Products except as follows: 22 <br /> 23 <br />1. When a precast concrete product is classified as a Manufactured Product, the 24 <br />components that are an Iron or Steel Product shall follow the “Iron and Steel 25 <br />Requirements” of this Specification. 26 <br /> 27 <br />2. When an electronic hardware system such as an intelligent transportation 28 <br />system is classified as a Manufactured Product, the cabinets and the other 29 <br />enclosures of such systems that are an Iron or Steel Product shall follow the 30 <br />“Iron and Steel Requirements” of this Specification. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Construction Material Requirements 33 <br />A Contractor provided certification of materials origin will be required before each 34 <br />progress estimate or payment. The Contractor will not receive payment until the 35 <br />certification is received by the Engineer. The Contractor shall certify that all Construction 36 <br />Materials installed during the current progress estimate period meet the Buy America 37 <br />requirements. The certification shall be on WSDOT Form 350-111 provided by the 38 <br />Engineer, or such other form the Contractor chooses, provided it contains the same 39 <br />information as WSDOT Form 350-111. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Waiver for De Minimis Costs 42 <br />Minor amounts of Foreign Construction Materials may be utilized in this project, provided 43 <br />that the total cost of the Foreign Construction Materials does not exceed $1,000,000 and 44 <br />does not exceed 5 percent of the total applicable material costs calculated as follows: 45 <br /> 46 <br /> <br /> < 0.05 47 <br /> 48 <br />The total applicable material costs shall be the sum of the costs all Construction Materials, 49 <br />all Iron or Steel Products, and all Manufactured Products. Total applicable material costs 50 <br />does not include Excluded Materials. 51
