Approval of such material use shall be as detailed elsewhere in the 17 <br />Standard Specifications. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Prior to Physical Completion the Contractor shall report the quantity of recycled materials 20 <br />that were utilized in the construction of the project for each of the items listed in Section 21 <br />9-03.21. The report shall include hot mix asphalt, recycled concrete aggregate, recycled 22 <br />glass, steel furnace slag and other recycled materials (e.g. utilization of on-site material 23 <br />and aggregates from concrete returned to the supplier). The Contractor’s report shall be 24 <br />provided on DOT form 350-075 Recycled Materials Reporting. 25 <br /> 26 <br />1-07.GR1 27 <br />Legal Relations and Responsibilities to the Public 28 <br /> 29 <br />1-07.1.RTF 30 <br />1-07.1 Laws to be Observed 31 <br />(October 1, 2005 APWA GSP) 32 <br /> 33 <br />Supplement this section with the following: 34 <br /> 35 <br />In cases of conflict between different safety regulations, the more stringent regulation 36 <br />shall apply. 37 <br /> 38 <br />The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries shall be the sole and 39 <br />paramount administrative agency responsible for the administration of the provisions of 40 <br />the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act of 1973 (WISHA). 41 <br /> 42 <br />The Contractor shall maintain at the project site office, or other well known place at the 43 <br />project site, all articles necessary for providing first aid to the injured. The Contractor 44 <br />shall establish, publish, and make known to all employees, procedures for ensuring 45 <br />immediate removal to a hospital, or doctor’s care, persons, including employees, who 46 <br />may have been injured on the project site. Employees should not be permitted to work 47 <br />on the project site before the Contractor has established and made known procedures 48 <br />for removal of injured persons to a hospital or a doctor’s care. 49 <br /> 50 <br />The Contractor shall have sole responsibility for the safety, efficiency, and adequacy of 51 <br />the Contractor’s plant, appliances, and methods, and for any damage or injury resulting 52
