2025 FEDERAL OVERLAY, BROADWAY – CALIFORNIA ST TO 18TH ST SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />FEDERAL AID# STBGUL-2715(012); COE PW# 3841 SP-51 May 6, 2025 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Contractor’s vehicles of 10,000 GVW or greater shall not exit or enter a lane open to 2 <br />public traffic except as follows: 3 <br /> 4 <br />Egress and ingress shall only occur during the hours of allowable lane closures, 5 <br />and: 6 <br /> 7 <br />1. For exiting an open lane of traffic, by decelerating in a lane that is 8 <br />closed during the allowable hours for lane closures. 9 <br /> 10 <br />2. For entering an open lane of traffic, by accelerating in a closed lane 11 <br />during the allowable hours for lane closures. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Traffic control vehicles are excluded from the gross vehicle weight requirement. If 14 <br />placing construction signs will restrict traveled lanes, then the work will be permitted 15 <br />during the hours of allowable lane closures. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Advance Notification 18 <br />The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing of any traffic impacts related to 19 <br />lane closure, shoulder closure, sidewalk closure, or any combination for the week by 20 <br />12:00 p.m. (noon) Wednesday the week prior to the stated impacts. 21 <br /> 22 <br />The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing ten working days in advance of 23 <br />any traffic impacts related to full roadway closure, ramp closure, or both. 24 <br /> 25 <br />The Contractor shall notify the Engineer in writing of any changes to the stated traffic 26 <br />impacts a minimum of 48 hours prior to the traffic impacts. 27 <br /> 28 <br />1-07.23(1).RTF 29 <br />1-07.23(1) Construction Under Traffic 30 <br />(May 2, 2017 APWA GSP) 31 <br /> 32 <br />Revise the third sentence of the second paragraph to read: 33 <br /> 34 <br />Accessibility to existing or temporary pedestrian push buttons shall not be impaired; if 35 <br />approved by the Contracting Agency activating pedestrian recall timing or other 36 <br />accommodation may be allowed during construction. 37 <br /> 38 <br />1-07.24.RTF 39 <br />1-07.24 Rights of Way 40 <br />(April 22, 2025 APWA GSP) 41 <br /> 42 <br />Delete this section and replace it with the following: 43 <br />Street Right of Way lines, limits of easements, and limits of construction permits are 44 <br />indicated in the Plans. The Contractor’s construction activities shall be confined within 45 <br />these limits unless arrangements for use of private property are made as described 46 <br />below. 47 <br />Generally, the Contracting Agency will have obtained, prior to bid opening, all rights of 48 <br />way and easements, both permanent and temporary, necessary for carrying out the 49 <br />work. Exceptions to this are noted in the Bid Documents or will be brought to the 50 <br />Contractor’s attention by a duly issued Addendum. 51
