A holiday, 3 <br /> 4 <br />2. A holiday weekend; holidays that occur on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or 5 <br />Monday are considered a holiday weekend. A holiday weekend includes 6 <br />Saturday, Sunday, and the holiday. 7 <br /> 8 <br />3. After *** $$ 10:00pm $$ *** on the day prior to a holiday or holiday weekend, 9 <br />and 10 <br /> 11 <br />4. Before *** $$ 7:00am $$ *** on the day after the holiday or holiday weekend. 12 <br /> 13 <br />5. The two-hour period prior to and the two-hour period after the following 14 <br />special events: 15 <br /> 16 <br />*** $$ N/A $$ *** 17 <br /> 18 <br />It shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to obtain the dates and times of all 19 <br />events. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Traffic Delays 22 <br />When Automated Flagger Assistance Devices (AFADs) or flaggers are used to 23 <br />control traffic, traffic shall not be stopped for more than *** $$ 20 $$ *** minutes at 24 <br />any time. All traffic congestion shall be allowed to clear before traffic is delayed again. 25 <br /> 26 <br />If the delay becomes greater than *** $$ 20 $$ *** minutes, the Contractor shall 27 <br />immediately begin to take action to cease the operations that are causing the delays. 28 <br />If the *** $$ 20 $$ *** minute delay limit has been exceeded, as determined by the 29 <br />Engineer, the Contractor shall provide to the Engineer, a written proposal to revise 30 <br />their work operations to meet the *** $$ 20 $$ *** minute limit. This proposal shall be 31 <br />accepted by the Engineer prior to resuming any work requiring traffic control. 32 <br /> 33 <br />There shall be no delay to medical, fire, or other emergency vehicles. The Contractor 34 <br />shall alert all flaggers and personnel of this requirement. 35 <br /> 36 <br />General Restrictions 37 <br />Construction vehicles using a closed traffic lane shall travel only in the normal 38 <br />direction of traffic flow unless expressly allowed in an accepted traffic control plan. 39 <br />Construction vehicles shall be equipped with flashing or rotating amber lights. 40 <br /> 41 <br />No two consecutive on-ramps, off-ramps, or intersections shall be closed at the same 42 <br />time and only one ramp at an interchange shall be closed, unless specifically shown 43 <br />in the Plans. 44 <br /> 45 <br />Roads or ramps that are designated as part of a detour shall not be closed or 46 <br />restricted during the implementation of that detour, unless specifically shown in the 47 <br />Plans. 48 <br /> 49 <br />Controlled Access 50 <br />No special access or egress shall be allowed by the Contractor other than normal 51 <br />legal movements or as shown in the Plans. 52
