2025 FEDERAL OVERLAY, BROADWAY – CALIFORNIA ST TO 18TH ST SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />FEDERAL AID# STBGUL-2715(012); COE PW# 3841 SP-63 May 6, 2025 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />1-10.3.GR1 2 <br />Traffic Control Labor, Procedures and Devices 3 <br /> 4 <br />f1-10.3(1)B.RTF.docx 5 <br />1-10.3(1)B Other Traffic Control Labor 6 <br />(April 22, 2025 APWA GSP) 7 <br /> 8 <br />Section 1-10.3(1)B is supplemented with the following: 9 <br /> 10 <br />Uniformed Police Officer 11 <br />Definitions: 12 <br />Uniformed Police Officer as used in this specification is a “General Authority 13 <br />Washington Peace Officer” as defined by RCW 10.93.020 (4), or a “Specially 14 <br />Commissioned Washington Peace Officer” as defined by RCW 10.93.020(11). 15 <br />Law Enforcement Agency as used in this specification is a “General Authority 16 <br />Washington Law Enforcement Agency” as defined by RCW 10.93.020(3). 17 <br />The Contractor shall arrange for off-duty Uniformed Police Officers to be present for the 18 <br />following activities: 19 <br />1. At the commissioning of a new traffic signal, or the recommissioning of an 20 <br />existing traffic signal which has been upgraded. 21 <br />2. Countermanding a traffic signal indication at a signalized intersection. 22 <br />3. Directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic when a traffic signal indication is turned off 23 <br />or is inoperative. 24 <br />4.
