During such time, and provided that 21 <br />there has been an advance warning to the public, the intersection may be closed for the 22 <br />minimum time required to place and compact the mixture. In hot weather, the Engineer 23 <br />may require the application of water to the pavement to accelerate the finish rolling of the 24 <br />pavement and to shorten the time required before reopening to traffic. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Before closing an intersection, advance warning signs shall be placed, and signs shall 27 <br />also be placed marking the detour or alternate route. 28 <br /> 29 <br />During paving operations, temporary pavement markings shall be maintained throughout 30 <br />the project. Temporary pavement markings shall be installed on the Roadway prior to 31 <br />opening to traffic. Temporary pavement markings shall be in accordance with Section 8-32 <br />23. 33 <br /> 34 <br />All costs in connection with performing the Work in accordance with these requirements, 35 <br />except the cost of temporary pavement markings, shall be included in the unit Contract 36 <br />prices for the various Bid items involved in the Contract. 37 <br /> 38
