Please review and respond to the comments below. NON-STRUCTURAL General 1. Please provide safety glass as a portion of the guard system for the open side of the vertical lift substantiating compliance with Section 1015.2.1 and 2407 of the 2021 IBC. Accessibility 1. All guards (or fences as noted) included along the accessible path of travel should be compliant with the provisions within section R312 of the 2021 IRC,where prescriptive design is utilized, and Sections 1014 and 1015 of the 2021 IBC where non-prescriptive methods or materials are utilized as guards. STRUCTURAL 1. The proposed project includes structural work. Structural drawings should be submitted as needed that includes the required information outlined in IRC Sections R106.1.1 and R301.1.The following list of items should be shown on the drawing set: a. Please provide the relevant existing conditions (e.g. height, header size, width, etc.) detailing, member sizing, and nailing pattern for the new doorway into the home at the base of the lift. b. Please provide a detail showing the connection of the new vertical lift to the existing structural elements of the home. c. Please provide the connection detailing of the new safety glass guard paneling as discussed in General/Non-Structural Comment#1 and the applicable loading discussed in section 1607.9 of the 2021 IBC.
