Please ensure architectural and structural sheets are <br /> compatible. <br /> 3. Architectural plans indicate a 2.0E Parallam iLevel Trus Joist of a size/shape that is not <br /> consistent with the structural details, nor with applicable Weyerhaeuser product specifier's <br /> guides. Please ensure the structural details and plans reference the same available product. <br /> 4. If pre-fabricated wood I-Joists are to be used for construction of the upper floor, please <br /> verify the floor joists are adjusted appropriately per Chapter 7 of the applicable AWS NDS. <br /> NDS Table 7.3.1 outlines the applicability of adjustment factors for prefabricated wood I- <br /> joists. <br /> 5. Please verify that for any sawn member an appropriate size adjustment factor (outlined in <br /> the provisions of Chapter 4 of the AWS NDS) is multiplied by the appropriate Reference <br /> Design Value provided in Tables 4A through 4F of the NDS Supplement. <br /> 6. Page 3 of the lateral calculations provides a Fa and Fv value of 1.2 and 1.5, respectively. Per <br /> ASCE 7-16 Table 11.4-1, Fa for Site Class D and a Ss of 121% should be approximately <br /> 1.016. Per ASCE 7-16 Table 11.4-2, Fv for Site Class D and a S1 of 43% should be <br /> approximately 1.9 and should be checked against Section 11.4.8 for Site Specific Ground <br /> Motion Procedures. Please update the seismic criteria and determine if the seismic loading <br /> controls design of the lateral force resisting system. <br /> 7. Please provide calculations satisfying the provisions of ACI 318-14 and pertinent detailing <br /> for the connection between the 6x6 DF/L No. 2 Posts and 30"x30"x10" concrete pads <br /> located at either side of the garage door. <br /> This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br /> amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br /> during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br /> requirements.
