June 1, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., June 1, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore <br /> Historic City Hall, Vice President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll call, it was <br /> found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, <br /> Franklin, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council Member <br /> Murphy was excused. <br /> Council Member Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 25, 2016, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATH — POLICE OFFICERS <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Franklin, to concur with the appointment of Casey Metzger and Josh <br /> Freeman as new police officers. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Murphy who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Clerk administered the oaths of office and Mayor Stephanson <br /> presented the officers with their badges. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Stonecipher reported on her attendance at the Making <br /> Connections civic engagement event, which was held at the Everett Public <br /> Library last Wednesday. <br /> Council Member Roberts reported on his attendance at the Sound Transit <br /> Board meeting last Thursday.
