June 1, 2016 <br /> will advance remaining work to develop an ST3 plan at a special Board <br /> meeting scheduled for June 2, 2016. He thanked the Mayor for his work <br /> on the project. Council Member Roberts also stated he will be meeting <br /> with Legislative leaders in Olympia regarding the application of the FAST <br /> Act congressional legislation for transportation funding. <br /> Council Member Franklin provided a liaison report on her attendance at <br /> the Animal Shelter Advisory Board meeting and public hearing last week <br /> regarding the shelter fee increases. She reminded citizens that today is <br /> the last day for public comment. Council Member Franklin also stated she <br /> attended the Community Streets Initiative liaison meeting and announced <br /> the appointment of a new City embedded law enforcement social worker <br /> who started work today. She encouraged citizens interested in learning <br /> more about upcoming outreach work to visit the City of Everett website or <br /> reach out to Coordinator Julie Frauenholtz. <br /> Vice President Tuohy reported on her attendance at the Council of <br /> Neighborhoods meeting last week. As a follow up to questions asked at <br /> the meeting, she announced that in lieu of using the 9-1-1 emergency <br /> telephone number, a new non-emergency number (425-407-3999) is now <br /> active and available for most of Snohomish County. She also shared that <br /> citizens may call retail stores directly to arrange pick up of abandoned <br /> shopping carts, and that a crime reporting system upgrade is currently <br /> underway and police statistics should be available to neighborhoods again <br /> by the end of summer. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Debra Bryant, Administration, had no report. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> 178 <br />
